N.J.’s Paul Rudd hands out water to voters waiting in line for hours

He’s known as Ant-Man, but today, you could call him Aquaman.
Paul Rudd certainly didn’t need to give a boost to his public image, given his status as a beloved actor and ageless wonder.
But on Election Day, he was out there doing what he could for voters.
For the Emmy-nominated actor, that meant handing out water to people waiting in long lines to cast their ballots in Pennsylvania.
Rudd, 55, may have grown up in Kansas, but he spent his youngest years here in New Jersey, having been born in Passaic.
This month, the “Ghostbusters” actor is being inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame alongside his “Only Murders in the Building” co-star Meryl Streep and other Garden State greats.
MSNBC caught Rudd in action at Temple University in Philadelphia Tuesday, holding a case of water bottles (see video below).
“I just wanted to give people water,” he said. “They’re waiting in line for a long time and it’s a wonderful thing that all these young people are out voting.”
Alas, it was not water from Rudd’s personal Foundation of Youth — he was named the People magazine Sexiest Man Alive in 2021 — but it would do.
The actor, who posted for a picture with a Temple student, said it was impressive that some were waiting in line for up to two hours.
“We wanted to come out and tell these students they’re doing really great things,” he said.
Rudd also made an Election Day appearance at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, where he handed out water and snacks.
In October, Rudd posed for a photo with high school students when he was at the New Jersey Hall of Fame Entertainment and Learning Center at American Dream in East Rutherford. He was there to tape his acceptance speech for the hall’s induction ceremony, set to air Nov. 16, 7 p.m. on My9 / WWOR.
